Rodney Walker, Knauer House, Los Angeles, 1954

What would your dream living room look like? We’d be very happy to while away our days in Knauer House in Brentwood, Los Angeles. Built by the lauded architect Rodney Walker between 1953 and 1954, it is a key example of Mid-century modernism, defined by its clean, simple geometry and refined combination of wood and steel, not to mention its vast floor-to-ceiling windows which allow for a harmony between the plant-filled interior and the landscape beyond.
