Never mind the Royal Academy's annual blockbuster group show—tonight will see the opening of Elephant West and Troubadour Theatre's very own Summer exhibition, featuring talents from in and around White City.

Head down to our very own Elephant West from this evening to find technicolour dog creatures, wooden dummies playing cards and a fresh and exiting collection of new digital and photographic works by young and emerging artists. For the last month, curators Becca Pelly-Fry and Lucia Camela have been picking the best from an incredible range of submissions. Earlier this year, an open call for photographers and digital artists in and around the local area was put out there, for a brand new summer exhibition created in partnership with the Troubadour Trust.

Spanning both Elephant West and the new Troubadour White City theatre (that opened its doors this summer), the exhibition features work from over twenty artists, and brings dusky Tokyo windows and Bow church interiors into the heart of White City. Some highlights are artist and curator Ibrahim Azab’s fluid collages, and tender portraits from fashion media and criticism student Hollie Williamson. So move over RA Summer Exhibition, there’s a new showcase of fresh talent to explore.
