Our programme centres on the Elephant Commissions, projects by emerging visual artists selected and curated by Becca Pelly-Fry, Head Curator. These projects are often collaborative and interdisciplinary in their nature, and offer a unique opportunity for the artists to work at scale.

Summer Exhibition

17 July–4 August 2019

In the spirit of connecting with our local community, and in seeking to support the creative spirit of West London, Elephant and Troubadour Trust are delighted to host a Summer Exhibition showcasing work by twenty-two artists selected through an open call for photographers and digital artists living and/or working in or around White City. The Summer Exhibition is taking place at both Elephant West and Troubadour White City Theatre over the summer.

Welcome Home: A Speculation on Living Spaces

6 September–6 October 2019

Elephant West will be hosting a series of adventurous and immersive installations, exploring the idea of “home” and what it means in today’s world and in our increasingly digital future. As current ideas of who we are, what we should be doing and how we should live are all under question, our idea of “home” has changed significantly at both an individual and collective level and yet home, or the idea of home, remains the place we turn to for both healing and restoration.

Elephant x BBC Creative

10 May–16 June 2019

The BBC Creative Photography team commissions, produces and art-directs hundreds of photo-shoots a year. The majority of images the team creates are portraits of the key actors, presenters and contributors featured in the programme the image represents. Elephant is delighted to partner with the BBC Creative photography team to produce a unique collaborative project celebrating the art and craft of promotional photography.

Elephant x Edouard Malingue Gallery

13–28 April 2019

Elephant is delighted to partner with Edouard Malingue Gallery, of Hong Kong/Shanghai, for a project of moving image this April. Through collaboration, Elephant is able to give galleries and arts organisations from outside of London a significant presence within the city, and at the same time offers a unique opportunity for Elephant West audiences to experience the work of a diverse range of artists from all over the world.

Anna Liber Lewis x Four Tet

18 Jan – 17 Mar 2019

For the first time, Elephant West presents a collaboration between Liber Lewis and Hebden in the form of paintings and music, created in tandem and responding to each other.  Both elements will fill the space of Elephant West, and in turn will be activated by a programme of events taking place in the space during the run of the show.

Maisie Cousins: Dipping Sauce
