Schools don’t get much better than this: a glorious, rainbow-hued haven by the architect Alejandro Muñoz Miranda, built in El Chaparral in his native Spain in 2010. Designed for children aged three and under, the kindergarten’s structure revolves around a central courtyard, onto which all the classrooms open. The building’s exterior boasts rectangular windows, in different primary shades, which cast multicoloured light along the corridors to magical effect.
