Alex Chinneck, From the Knees of My Nose to the Belly of My Toes, 2012-14

Getting ready to slide into the weekend. Just like this slippery installation by British artist Alex Chinneck, which adorned the facade of a derelict seaside townhouse in Margate from 2012 to 2014. The structure had been abandoned for eleven years before Chinneck and 10 professional construction companies took on the self-initiated project, sponsored by the British Arts Council. The drooping front, made from donated materials, brought the formerly gloomy house to comic life.
