A backside-flashing flashback from London’s Royal Academy, which in 2019 encountered one of “the most unique requests” it’s ever received to date. Instagram’s renowned, nude head-balancer @headstandmatty had glimpsed Antony Gormley’s installation of cast-iron body forms, Lost Horizon I (2008), on display at the RA’s retrospective of the lauded British sculptor, and recognised a perfect picture opportunity. He was granted access to the show before public opening hours and created his own artwork among the sculptures, documented by his photographer friend Alistair Hall to memorable effect.
