Antti Laitinen, Broken Landscape, 2021

Happy New Year! Here’s a transportive installation by the Finnish artist Antti Laitinen, who creates open-ended, often humorous work that prompts us to question “the way we perceive and understand our landscape and nature around us” (Saatchi Gallery). In this piece, titled Broken Landscape, we are granted access to a dense forest via a neat, manmade hole in the shrubbery that boasts an Alice in Wonderland appeal.
