A Monday mood by the Swedish artist Britt-Ingrid Persson. Based in Stockholm, where she first set up studio in 1966, Persson is best known for her multifarious sculptures, which range from abstract linear works in bronze to surreal experimentations with the human head. Naturally, this concrete creation from 2014, dubbed Muscle Brain, falls into the latter category, playfully fusing an upper-torso with the lower half of a face to evocative effect.
