Freckles on freckles. This dappled duo was shot by the American photographer Charlie Engman, and forms part of his acclaimed series, Mom. Released as a photo book in 2020, Mom consists of multiple portraits of Engman’s mother, Kathleen, taken over an eleven-year period. Some, like this, find Kathleen frolicking in nature—normally nude—while others see her don elaborate costumes and perform characters before her son’s lens in a whimsical, Cindy Sherman-esque manner.
