Were you alive yet, and if so what were you doing, fifty years ago during the legendary year that was 1969? A New York gallery that is named after the year is currently celebrating its fiftieth birthday, with a group exhibition of paintings and works on paper by some of its represented artists: Cristina BanBan, Keiran Brennan Hinton, Coady Brown and Anthony Cudahy. BanBan is known for her raucous images of mostly female subjects, and for her playful and celebratory treatment of the nude body. This image sees a white horse join the usual frenzy of limbs and curves. You can see Give It to Me Good at 1969 Gallery until 20 December.
