Club culture has become a fixture of the gallery space in recent months, with everything from Concrete Lates at Hayward Gallery to last year’s major exhibition Nightfever: Designing Club Culture 1960 – Today at Vitra Design Museum. Now, London’s Saatchi Gallery has just opened Sweet Harmony: Rave | Today, an immersive retrospective exhibition devoted to the history and impact of the acid house revolution. Telling the story of rave culture through the voices of the club scene of the eighties and nineties, it features some of the photographers who captured the era so evocatively, including Vinca Petersen, Ted Polhemus, Dave Swindells, Ewen Spencer and Derek Ridgers. Other names include Jeremy Deller, Carsten Nicolai and Conrad Shawcross. The exhibition runs until 14 September.
