When putting on a group show, how should a gallery go about making their selection of artists? Perhaps one of the most simple methods, is to simply group creatives by their last name. That is the rather hilarious approach that has been taken at Marlborough gallery in London, with a new exhibition full of artists (of an exceptional standard) whose last name is Smith. The reach of disciplines is broad—such legendary Smiths as Sir Paul, Patti and Bob and Roberta are included—and perhaps our favourite contemporary art Smith is Emily Mae, whose dark, cartoon-like cogs are shown here.
