Hold on tight: Frieze London is officially back in town! Head to Regent’s Park for your fill of excellent art, new and old, including a fresh series of paintings by New York-based artist Gina Beavers at Marianne Boesky’s stand. Beavers’ thickly layered compositions draw on “the digital images that circulate online, from #FoodPorn to make-up tutorials”, Holly Black explains in her interview with the artist for Elephant 42. “My work appropriates a lot from culture, but there’s no judgement,” Beavers tells Black of her delightfully kitsch constructions. “It’s a reflection”.
