Sunday smooches à la Finnish-born, Paris-based painter Henni Alftan. Alftan’s compositions are like close-up stills from a film—tightly and artfully framed snapshots from day-to-day life. “These pictures are the consequence of my observations of the visible world and its representations,” the artist has said of her work. “Small perceptions of the everyday will merge with reflections on looking, painting and image making.”
