A tree house of dreams to kickstart the weekend, photographed by Henry Bourne for World of Interiors and found via @steffan. This amazing abode is considered by some to be the oldest tree house in the world, built as it was in the late 17th century on the grounds of Pitchford Hall in Shropshire. Positioned in a magnificent large-leaved lime tree (Tilia Platyphyllos), it is designed in the same Tudor style as the country manor it accompanies, and, according to the Pitchford Estate, features “a carved moulded cornice ceiling, stripped oak floor and gothic windows on all sides”. Best of all it’s open to visitors.
