If there’s anything we need right now, it’s a bit of protection from “ailments of the body and mind”; a touch of “holistic healing”. These alluring yet somewhat amorphous offers are exactly what Berlin-based collective (or “movement” as it describes itself) Honey-Suckle Company has looked to bring people since its foundation in 1994, as a current exhibition at London’s ICA, Omnibus, showcases. This beguiling, hair-tangling image is just a tiny snapshot of the group’s sprawling practice, which over the past twenty-five years has seen it work on an ongoing series of ephemeral interventions spanning fashion, music and art. This has spawned the creation of clothing, performances, happenings, installations, objects, photographs, music, films and publications—all of which are on show until 12 January 2020, in an expansive look at the group’s past, present and future.
