Something lighthearted to feast your eyes upon this Monday morning, this excellent rendering of René Magritte’s seminal, 1964 painting The Son of Man in cheese and apple on toast was made by Norwegian food artist Ida Skivenes (aka @idafrosk). Skivenes used to be a data analyst who dabbled in edible artworks on the side, but after posting her creations to Instagram, she began to garner hundreds and then thousands of fans and soon thereafter quit her job to pursue a culinary career full-time. Inspiration for anyone looking to get creative while sating their appetite this lockdown.
