The artworks of Spanish artist Ira Lombardia contain layers of meaning. Mirroring social media platforms, the images are pictures of pictures, with the viewer as a hovering hand becoming part of the image. Lombardia considers the relationship between art and life, and in her works, the two leak into each other. Influenced by her previous exhibition on the The Venus Pudica (modest Venus) Lombardia creates a clash of classical and digital images in her works. From 21 March, her images will be on show at SCAN (Spanish Contemporary Art Network), in her first solo show in the UK.
