Our dream bed scenario (AKA a giant pillow fortress by the Dutch designer Jan Pieter Kaptein). This oneiric piece was created for the 2016 Dutch Design Week exhibition, For Play, which saw a selection of artists and designers take on the task of challenging traditional expectations of sex design. Dubbed Fort Folly, and made up of over 200 pillows, Kaptein’s vast bed was intended to inspire creativity and playfulness in the bedroom. But it also looks like the ultimate vessel for an extremely cosy, uninterrupted nap.
