Today we’re thinking of Jean-Michel Basquiat on what would have been his fifty-eighth birthday. 2018 was a busy year for the artist’s ever-growing reputation, with the release of an intimate documentary, Boom For Real, as well as a major retrospective at London’s Barbican and a show of his paintings at Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris.
