Happy Halloween! Here’s a suitably terrifying sculpture by Edinburgh-based artist Jessica Harrison, who takes found ornamental figures and gives their delicate porcelain forms a truly gory twist. The artist has described her practice as centring on “the division between the familiar and the unfamiliar, the interior and the exterior, and the fearful and the feared, ending in a xenotransplantation of parts and a narrative of monstrosity”. And we couldn’t sum it up better ourselves.
