Photographer Jianhui Liao has been announced as Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2019 this week—the prize is a celebration of food and art. The winning photograph is Cauldron Noodles, shot during eighteen-day long festivities in honour of Nüwa, the mother goddess of Chinese mythology, in Hebei Province, China. It depicts villagers dressed in Qing Dynasty costumes, tucking into enormous pots of noodles, a communal feast that takes place every year.
