Sun’s out, bums out? A group show at Marinaro in New York has taken the warm weather in its stride with a playful homage to the posterior, titled Cheeky: Summer Butts. At turns campy, slapstick and profane, the art on display also explores its erotic and beautiful side, questioning the bottom’s cultural significance in art history, modern-day mass media and beyond. Kristina Lee features alongside a host of artists, including Nikki Maloof, Loie Hollowell, Rebecca Morgan, Talia Chetrit and Dana Schutz.
