A feast for the eyes, this buttery sculpture is the handiwork of the New York-based, Egyptian food artist Laila Gohar. A creator of magical “culinary installations” for clients spanning the realms of art, fashion and design (think Comme des Garçons, Galerie Perrotin, LVMH and many more), Gohar never fails to delight with her exquisitely rendered, experiential designs. This particular piece was part of a project re-envisioning sections of Michelangelo’s David in creamy yellow blocks of carved butter.
