Who would you commission to decorate your dream holiday cabin? In the case of Le Corbusier, that unstoppable mural-maker (don’t forget, he painted several murals in one of Eileen Gray’s buildings against her express wishes), it was, of course, himself. This colourful, canine-centric tableau adorns the walls of the revered Swiss-French architect’s miniature, self-designed vacation home, Le Cabanon, built in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin in 1951 as a seaside escape. The building is a simple, 3.66 metre-square log cabin, and Le Corbusier spent every summer there until his death in 1965.
