Next week, Phillips London will go on view with their October Photographs Auction, which includes a selection of interwar European and Latin American photographs. Included is this image by Man Ray of fellow surrealist Meret Oppenheim, who posed for him nude in a series of photographs. “It is not I who looked for the Surrealists,” Oppenheim once said. “It is they who found me.”
