What did the future look like in the past? A new show opening at the Brooklyn MuseumBrooklyn Museum later this month explores the fashion design of Pierre Cardin—in the legendary French couturier’s first large scale exhibition in the US for forty years. Bringing together over 170 items, not only of clothing items but also furniture, sketches and design from his archive, the show will present the life and work of Cardin in an immersive environment. “The exhibition traverses the designer’s decades-long career at the forefront of fashion invention,” says the museum.
