Wednesday wanderlust… What we wouldn’t give for a trip to the (very picturesque) Museum of Brazilian Chairs, in the seaside municipality of Belmonte, Brazil. The museum opened in November of 2018 with a collection handpicked by Christian Larsen, a curator at The Museum of Arts and Design in New York. It spans everything from icons of Brazilian modernism by the likes of Sérgio Rodrigues, through the wacky designs of the Campana brothers, and the sleek offerings of Etel Carmon—affirmation, if ever it was needed, that Brazilians are reigning champions in chair design.
