Start-of-the-week sentiments, as embodied by multidisciplinary artist Nelly Agassi in this literal take on the bedroom for the 2005 exhibition Dreaming Art/Dreaming Reality at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. Much of Agassi’s work centres around “the notion of physical presence especially pertaining to the female identity”, in the words of ArtSpace. And this giant bed set-up, which renders the artist’s seated form minuscule in comparison, is no exception, leaving plenty of room for interpretation.
