Niki de Saint Phalle, Maison Dragon, 1973-5

Imagine being a child and having one of Niki de Saint Phalle’s vast, whimsical sculptures to play in as your very own. Well Xavier, the lucky son of artist and collector Roger Nellens, had just that: the French-American artist built him this covetable dragon playhouse in the garden of his family estate in Knokke, Belgium. It was later decked out with all the amenities to make it inhabitable and was once stayed in by Keith Haring.
