Remembering the legendary American artist and activist Keith Haring, who died 32 years ago today. In this wonderful shot by Patrick Sarfati, Haring—who employed everything from walls and floors to paper and the human body as a canvas for his illustrative motifs and figures—can be seen applying paint to a nude model in Paris in 1985. Haring famously painted Grace Jones’ body in a similar manner for a number of her concerts, his graffiti-like depictions adding to the spectacle of the singer’s already mesmerising performances.
