A brand new exhibition from the original artist-provocateur Paul McCarthy has just opened at Xavier Hufkens in Brussels. One installation, titled Caribbean Pirates, has caught our eye in particular. Inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean amusement park ride at Disneyland, it uses a number of mutilated pigs to raise larger questions around politics and perversity, playing with shock value to provoke a reaction in viewers. Spray painted in lurid technicolour, it gives a whole new spin on the Disney opus.
