Who else is suffering from serious wanderlust? This beautiful photograph of the Salidas de Maras (or Maras salt flats), situated 25 miles north of Cusco, Peru, was captured by the Spanish image-maker Pia Riverola. The flats are made up of 3000 individual salt ponds, constructed by the Incas in the 1400s using an intricate water channelling system. The result is a beguiling formation of delicately hued squares, which Riverola has committed to camera with her well-honed eye for natural lighting and enticing colour combinations.
