Pol Taburet, For our Children, 2022

Hump day hanging around à la rising French art star, Pol Taburet. Taburet’s distinct, heady style fuses myriad references, from Francis Bacon’s visceral mode of painterly expression through rap, Caribbean mythology and beyond. This work, titled For our Children, features in Real Corporeal, a new group exhibition at New York’s Gladstone Gallery, curated by Ben Broome and exploring “the notion of the physical body as an intrusion in the traditional gallery space.”  Expect to see work by Joan Jonas, Arthur Jafa, Amanda Ba, Rhea Dillon and many more, coming together to form “a schematic map of histories and futures.”
