Fashion Month is under way, and we want to know your favourite fashion-meets-design moments of recent years. Rem Koolhaas and his research studio AMO’s brilliantly textural set for the Prada menswear Autumn/Winter 2021 show is high on our list. Live-streamed during January’s lockdown and designed with digital viewers in mind, the set comprised four “non-spaces”, to quote Koolhaas, linked by rectangular openings. Each room was a different shape, and decorated using a plethora of surprising materials—from marble and resin to plaster and faux fur—in just as many hues: a perfect backdrop for the models’ colourful looks, dreamed up by Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada, and a truly sumptuous feast for the eyes.
