Training as a ceramicist, a key part of my practice is exploring what vessels mean to us as human beings and the importance of their history. With my pots and vases I use papier mache and recycled plastic materials to transform them into something beautiful. I have been experimenting with recycling clay and using heavy- duty varnishes to set them as opposed to firing in a kiln. At Elephant lab I intend to experiment with varnishes and paints that contradict usual ceramic guidelines and push the rules to achieve weird and unexpected results.
