Ricardo Bofill, Kafka Castle, Spain, 1968

Who would you choose to design your dream apartment complex? In our opinion, you can’t go wrong with Ricardo Bofill, as evidenced by this amazing, Kafka-inspired building, completed in 1968 in the Sant Pere de Ribes area outside Barcelona. This was one of the first buildings to put the Spanish architect on the map, typifying his endlessly imaginative geometric style. Dubbed The Kafka Castle, it comprises 90 apartments, made up of prefabricated cubes, as well as a swimming pool, sauna, bar and restaurants.
