Riccardo Maria Chiacchio, What You’re Wearing Isn’t Yours, 2020

Mondays are for getting organised (and perhaps a spot of sunbathing). Neapolitan stylist and art director Riccardo Maria Chiacchio dreamed up this expertly composed scene as part of his 2020 photo series, Chille ch’e’ ncuolle a tte n’e’ rroba toja (“What You’re Wearing Isn’t Yours”). Directed, shot and styled by Chiacchio himself, and set on the Bay of Naples, the poetic, white-garment-strewn project centres on connections; “on mothers connecting to their sons, bodies connecting to fabric, faces connecting to their ancient features.”
