This week, Photo London opens for its fifth edition, bringing together almost one hundred exhibitors and sixteen solo presentations. The level of artist present at the fair is exceptional, and this offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the art form completely undisturbed. Don’t miss this pink-drenched work by Richard Mosse, shot on discontinued Kodak infrared film, which he first used for his now infamous series of works taken in the Congolese rainforest in 2011. “I wanted to export this technology to a harder situation…” Mosse told the British Journal of Photography of the technique. “I wanted to confront this military reconnaissance technology, to use it reflexively in order to question the ways in which war photography is constructed.”
