This gloriously geometric dwelling sits within the Site of Reversible Destiny, an “experience park” built in Yoro, Gifu Prefecture, Japan by Shusaku Arakawa and Madeline Gins of the artist-architect-poet group, the Reversible Destiny Foundation. The park’s purpose is to confront visitors with unexpected experiences as they’re guided through its component areas, to help them rethink their physical and spiritual orientation to the world. As such, the so-called Critical Resemblance House has a maze-like interior that can be entered and exited at multiple points, and is peppered with furniture arranged in corresponding pairs on the floor and ceiling, while its roof is shaped to form a map of Gifu Prefecture. Trippy stuff.
