Some Sunday fun courtesy of architects Tomi Ungerer and Ayla Suzan Yöndel and their amazing cat-shaped kindergarten in Karlsruhe, Germany. A typically bombastic example of Postmodern architecture, visitors must enter through the feline’s mouth, while its round eyes serve as windows and its paws as play areas for the children it houses. It features in a book published earlier this year titled, Postmodern Architecture: Less Is a Bore, exploring the divisive movement and its many whimsical architectural offerings—one of Elephant’s recommended Sunday Reads, which you can discover more about here.
