William Monk opens A Fool Through the Cloud at Pace Gallery in London today—full of his paintings that are both vibrantly uplifting and apocalyptic at the same time. This work has an unusual light grey palette, except for a plume of vivid yellow atomic-like cloud erupting from the top of a knobbly peak. This is the British-born, New York-based artist’s first show with the gallery. You can read a full interview with Monk in the new issue 38.
