ZAV Architects, Cultural Residence on Hormuz, 2020

The ultimate vacation accommodation, designed by Iranian architecture practice ZAV Architects. These shapely, brightly hued domes can be found on the Iranian island of Hormuz, and were inspired by the natural forms and multi-toned landscape that surround them. The interconnected structures combine to form fifteen homes in total (made from 200 domes) and offer a joyful alternative to the high-rise apartments that so often obscure the view at favoured seaside holiday destinations.
