Anne Imhof, Eliza Douglas in Faust, 2017

Anne Imhof’s work for the German Pavilion  at the 2017 Venice Biennale was a resounding success—with queues to get in on the opening days and a decidedly more raucous tone than many of the surrounding national pavilions. The work, Faust, won Imhof a coveted Golden Lion. Now the German artist is coming to Tate in London, for a short stint as part of Tate Live. Sex will run from 22 to 31 March, when Imhof with continue to “explore contemporary anxieties of isolation, technology, proximity and identity”.
