Anthony Iacono, Coffee 3, 2017

Fancy a cup of coffee? The clean lines and deep colours in Anthony Iacono’s works call to mind the aesthetics of design and lifestyle photography, where everything is just that little bit too crisp. But within the order presented in his images, we see moments of personality and action from his figures—who are often shown alone—as they sip coffee, dress themselves and enjoy cigarettes. The American artist’s show at the Approach gallery in London closes this weekend—catch it while you can. You can see more of his work in the current issue of Elephant magazine.
