And so, December is here! This image by Eleanor Macnair, based on a photograph by Malick Sidibé, is our Christmas card for 2019. Macnair famously reimagines photographs in Play-Doh, often with comical results and a surprising amount of nuance for the apparent simplicity of the material, and she is currently showing at Elephant West. Malian photographer Sidibé is known for his intimate black and white studio portraits, and evocative images of 1960s Bamako. You can buy the card here.
