Haruka Misawa, Mostra Subtle

Japanese minimalism and the art of paper are celebrated in a new show at Japan House in London. The exhibition brings together fifteen makers whose practices span art, animation, architecture, fashion, graphic design and literature. Within the selection, the diversity and flexibility of paper as a medium comes to the fore. In the above work, a delicate flower is formed from the sharpening of a coloured red pencil, its vibrant centre formed from the intense scarlet tip.
