Henry Groskinsky, Lynda Benglis at Work, 1970

Sundays are for making your own fun, as per this picture of Lynda Benglis by Henry Groskinsky. Taken in 1970, it shows the groundbreaking American artist engaged in her then newly evolved practice of mixing DayGlo pigments into cans of latex and pouring them onto the floor, leaving much of the resulting compositions up to chance. The image features in an exhibition at Fondazione Prada in Venice, showcasing a number of radical artworks that have pushed at the boundaries of painting. Curated by Peter Fischli, the show “delves into five key points of the medium’s reinvention over the last 150 years,” writes Emily Steer for Elephant. Read all about it here.
