The paintings of the great American artist are immediately recognizable for their luscious use of colour, turning her eye to everything from enormous flowers to desert landscapes. With her sensual outlook on the world around us, she has inspired a whole new generation of painters. The Beyond: Georgia O’Keeffe and Contemporary Art, an exhibition at the North Carolina Museum of Art, explores this legacy, pairing her work with that of twenty younger artists.
