A picturesque bedroom fit for an artist, and an artist’s bedroom it is: Georgia O’Keeffe’s, no less, at her home, Ghost Ranch, in Abiquiú, New Mexico. This wonderful photograph, captured by Krysta Jabczenski for the O’Keeffe museum, not only shows the elegantly minimalist room, typical of the American painter’s chic decorating style, but also captures the mesmerising landscape that lies beyond O’Keeffe’s sleeping area. New Mexico’s vivid hues (just look at the blue of the sky) and jagged mountains were an enduring inspiration for the extraordinary colourist.
